EQ Communications Covid-19 Events Policy
Despite the relaxation of rules from the UK Government, EQ Communications has put in place a Covid-19 Events Policy to keep employees and those around them safe. These policies will be in place at all public-facing, in-person indoor events, including public exhibitions and stakeholder workshops.
- The wearing of facemasks will be mandatory for all EQ staff. They should be removed only when sitting down, eating and drinking, or addressing a group.
- Whilst we cannot make the wearing of facemasks mandatory for attendees, they will be encouraged via signage at the venue. In addition, our staff will ask attendees to follow the guidance for mask wearing.
- We will ensure, where possible, that there is adequate ventilation at the venue.
- Hand sanitiser stations will be placed around the venue, with the Government’s handwashing guidance encouraged using signage.
- EQ staff will be required to show proof of double vaccination, or a negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours.
- EQ staff members will ask attendees to show proof of double vaccination or a negative lateral flow test within 48 hours. These will be checked when attendees enter the venue.
- We will require attendees to fill out Covid-19 declaration forms upon entry to the event. Attendees will detail whether they, or anyone they’ve been in contact with, have Covid-19 symptoms.
- We will require attendees to register for events using the NHS QR code or by writing their contact details on a form prior to entering the event.
- If a staff member or attendee tests positive for Covid-19 following an EQ event, NHS Test and Trace will contact those who registered via the NHS QR code. We will hand over contact details to NHS Test and Trace for those who registered via the form.
